Violette and Letizia’s love for baking was instilled in them by their grandmother/great grandmother. That love along with inspiration from binge watching the highly televised TV show CUPCAKE WARS, drove this duo to embark on a journey of baking cupcakes for family and friends for birthdays and special events. That love and inspiration turn passion led into the opening of La Gâterie SXM on November 5th 2020.

Both Mother and Daughter take pleasure in creating cupcakes from concept to the oven with over 30 sweet flavors to choose from. Their passion and work ethic, delicious cupcakes and even cakes are recognized on the entire island of St Martin/St Maarten, neighboring islands, and also throughout the US and Europe.

Other than baking, they enjoy traveling and discovering other bakeries and cupcake shops near and far.

Violette and Letizia have recently been featured on Media Company EWAG TV for their Unique PINK TRUCK where they serve sweet treats such as Ice Cream, Milkshakes and of course CUPCAKES.
